Wandering Europe!
Here we go now

In May 2011 I set off on a 7 month journey. With nothing but a backpack on my back, my best friend by my side and a return ticket to EUROPE... Needless to say it was by far the most amazing 7 months of my absolute life!!! Somehow I was motivated enough (and stupid enough) to keep a travel blog going through the whole adventure, and so now, with technology being as fabulous as it is, our story is now roughly preserved on this silly blog.

AND THEN WE MET ATHENS

The first thing you notice when you lay your head down in our hostel is the matress protector.
They are made out of plastic. Like the ones i used to have when i was eight years old.
The ones that make a ridiculous amount of noise when you try to roll over.
So falling asleep gives me paranoia that im waking up the other 5 people in the dorm.
However, i am thankful to know that I'm not sleeping on a matress soaked in month old puke!!! Second thing you motice is the fact that everyone comes home at all hours at the night, and then some wake up ridiculously early the next day... And then there is the snoring, although, i can't complain because apparently i did last night (AND I AM REALLY SORRY TO MY DORM MATES- I NEVER NORMALLY DO)

Moving on. We landed in Athens on Thursday morning at 7am (errrk.) And our check-in to Athens Backpackers wasn't until 2pm. As we weren't able to spend money on shopping or eating, and we were going to do the sites tomorrow, we once again found ourselves lavishing in the beautiful national gardens for hours. We stumbled upon an unusual amount of turtles. Once again, we were kicking back to our favourite scenery- nature :D

Come eveing we sat the cobbled streets of Athens and ate Souvlaki's (which were acutally like kebabs, no bread or awesome filling, just pork, rice and potato!) We went back to our dorm where i passed out straight away which made us miss happy hour at the Rooftop Bar :( SO, our beers cost us 2 Euro instead  of 1 Euro, damn!!! The rooftop bar is amazing, it overlooks the
lit up Acropolis, is full of awesome backpackers but is amazingly cheap!
To tell you the sad truth Sarah and I kicked in early because we were dead   And who can balme us? We flew out of Thailand at midnight  and were still going somehow!!!
