Wandering Europe!
Here we go now

In May 2011 I set off on a 7 month journey. With nothing but a backpack on my back, my best friend by my side and a return ticket to EUROPE... Needless to say it was by far the most amazing 7 months of my absolute life!!! Somehow I was motivated enough (and stupid enough) to keep a travel blog going through the whole adventure, and so now, with technology being as fabulous as it is, our story is now roughly preserved on this silly blog.

I'm sorry, is that a picture we took of the Parthenon? Yeah it is.

Today was amazing.

We went on a '2 and a 1/2 hour' walking tour with athens backpackers, which actually went for 4 1/2 hours thanks to our guide who obviously liked to talk. We first saw the Ruins of Zeus' temple before heading to the Greek Parliment building to see the changing of the guards. All the soliders dressed in the traditional uniforms kicking their legs about in unisen like syncronised gymnasts.

Next we went to a few churches, which we weren't allowed in due to the fact we were wearing shorts (DON'T THEY REALISE HOW HOT IT IS OUTSIDE?)
And then we saw the ruins of the Roman marketplace, and then the Greek Market place before heading to the Acropolis. It was freaking amazing. We were ontop of the world!!!
We stayed there before being harrased by Albanian men! That night we headed into town and bought the most amazing souvlaki's for 2 EURO. We were in heaven.

That night was once again spent drinking ridiculously cheap beer at the Athen's Backpackers rooftop bar :)
