Wandering Europe!
Here we go now

In May 2011 I set off on a 7 month journey. With nothing but a backpack on my back, my best friend by my side and a return ticket to EUROPE... Needless to say it was by far the most amazing 7 months of my absolute life!!! Somehow I was motivated enough (and stupid enough) to keep a travel blog going through the whole adventure, and so now, with technology being as fabulous as it is, our story is now roughly preserved on this silly blog.

And then we found ourselves in Southern France!

After ten days of staying in Leeds, we finally had to say goodbye and head back to London. It was bizarre putting on the packs and hitting the road again, getting back to our nomadic travelling ways! SO, We had 39 hours in London before our flight..

In this time we managed to have a beautiful ten hour sleep, spend an afternoon and night out with our long lost Australian friends, Bree and Sean, meet English couchsurfers who hosted us at the last second, be cohersed into endless battle
rounds in Black Ops and then make our way to the airport at 3am on Sunday morning!

Our flight from london to toulouse was a beautiful hour flight.. Toulouse is a gorgouse city but as we arrived on a sunday everythingggg was closed, so we had to explore the town without the huatle & bustle, still lovely however :) We stayed with a Spanish/French guy in his student residence and spent the night drinking german beer and hungarian 'cave' alcohol haha! Oh and forcing Alejandro to eat vegemite ... Usual classic reaction!

The next day we said goodbye and boarded a train to Montpellier where we stayed with a Lebanese/Spanish/french girl, she was lovely and so cultural, she cooked up an amazing rice dish for us (that had raisins in it!!!! Who'd knew you could do that?!!?) And she even made us try pickled mussels which were surprsingly amazing for how disgusting they look!
The next day we couldn't drop our luggage off for the day,  so Sarah and I took in turns-  whilst one minded the bags for an hour, the other would explore Montpellier. I was having a great time, frolicking in the French sunshine, roaming the french streets, listening to French street music, slipping in French dog poo!!!!

Unfortunately our nice day in the sun didn't really go to plan as the sun went down..  After a massive communication problem we ended up spending 5 and a half hours in the cold streets with our packs.. By midnight we were taking turns sleeping, whilst the other watched our packs!!! Pretty insane, we looked like such bums, but eventually our friend came home and rescued us ahhh :D
