Wandering Europe!
Here we go now

In May 2011 I set off on a 7 month journey. With nothing but a backpack on my back, my best friend by my side and a return ticket to EUROPE... Needless to say it was by far the most amazing 7 months of my absolute life!!! Somehow I was motivated enough (and stupid enough) to keep a travel blog going through the whole adventure, and so now, with technology being as fabulous as it is, our story is now roughly preserved on this silly blog.

We spent two nights in Nice. For those who do not know Nice, (it is pronouced neice, it's on the beach, totally adorable!) Here we were staying in two hostels, one night at each. When we recieved directions for our first hostel we were horribly suspicious. It went something along the lones of 'When you reach the address, there will be a restarant, go in and ask for the pink lady, she'll look after your bookings.'  So, it seemed like our hostel was run by a giant apple OR a prostitute... Awesome

But upon arrival we realised it was much worse
.So picture a 70+ old lady. She wore a fight pink singlet top with no bra,  tight pink leggings,, missing half her teeth, her skin was all scabby and she didnt speak English!!!!
Times like these I love sarah mccormick and her beauitful french abilities!!!
The accomodation wasn't as shocking as our host, thankfully, and our roommates were a good bunch, so we werent too fazed! Plus Nice is absolutely beautiful and the weather is warm and delightful (we do not miss londons weather!)
We had seriously missed the ocean, and we didnt realise until we got onto the beachfront.  We spent our first night in Nice exploring the beaches and streets with a room mate from chicago, whilst we discussed life and ate icecream :)

Our second hostel is pretty freaking awesome, bit of a party central, which would've been a blast, IF we weren't dead and dying... Gahhh, makes me want t spend more than one night here, but we have our tickets already!
So far of our time in France we've spent a ridiculous amount of time trapped in train station lines, or stuck inside on the internet or on the phone DESPERATELY trying to find accomodation or means of travel for the next day... Getting around France isn't as easy as England and we've hit so many obstacles so far that it has really sucked the life out of us. SO unforuntately we haven't been able to fully explore the south as we would've loved to :( But, this happens when you travel i suppose.

So now, we must sleep before everyone gets back from partying, our room is a 12 person so chances are there'll be a snorer among them (oh, the joys of hostels) Tomorrow we board a train to LYON :D
