Wandering Europe!
Here we go now

In May 2011 I set off on a 7 month journey. With nothing but a backpack on my back, my best friend by my side and a return ticket to EUROPE... Needless to say it was by far the most amazing 7 months of my absolute life!!! Somehow I was motivated enough (and stupid enough) to keep a travel blog going through the whole adventure, and so now, with technology being as fabulous as it is, our story is now roughly preserved on this silly blog.

Why shower when you can... Bath?!?

Okay, that was a terrible terrible joke, I'm sorry. So, as you can see, we are couchsurfing in the gorgeous town of Bath! To those who do not know what couch surfing is; it's a community where people host you whilst you visit their hometown. It's an amazing concept I seriously recommend it to ANYONE travelling! In our lonley planet guide the first thing it says about Bath is "Getting lost is the first thing any visitor to Bath should do." And that's exactly what we did, with our packs, trudging up hills that we weren't supposed to trudge, ringing doorbells of the the completely wrong house! The first thing we did in Bath was be taught how to play tennis- and if you know Sarah and I, you would know that this is a big thing for us (as we are both fairly uncoordinated.)

Our only full day in Bath was pouring with rain, but nevertheless we headed out to explore! We visited The Jane Austin center, attended a Evensong Choral at the marvellous Abbey, poked around in cute shops, had lunch at the Jazz Cafe (which played no jazz , but had the best Mezze) saw the Circus and Royal Cresent, we trudged through the old cemetary here (so freaking exciting, they are so fascinating!) Our hosts Mark and Alan are amazing at cooking and treated us with a couple of spectacular and interesting meals. And we tried to return the favour by making Brownies for them for dessert (even though they turned our to be a little floppy, they still tasted alright!)
