Sorry, gone travelling.

In May 2011 I set off on a 7 month journey. With nothing but a backpack on my back, my best friend by my side and a return ticket to EUROPE... Needless to say it was by far the most amazing 7 months of my absolute life!!! Somehow I was motivated enough (and stupid enough) to keep a travel blog going through the whole adventure, and so now, with technology being as fabulous as it is, our story is now roughly preserved on this silly blog.

So i'm going to time warp you back to the day where we left Brugge and moved onto Gent! We spent the day exploring the old with some local guy who seemed to drop all of his days plans so he could show us the city- it was nice and creepy, all at the same time. The city is gorgeous, kind of like Brugge mixed with Brussels. It's big and canel filled and surrounded by cathedrals and a castle- pretty sweeeet. We were staying with the most awesome guy, Didier, who took us to a 4th of July party (despite of the fact it was the 9th of July and despite the fact it was with a bunch of Belgiums!) We had a fabulouss time playing kings, swapping clothes, having jelly shots and eating hot dogs!
