Castles, Mouth-rapes, Farewells and Poundland
We spent four glorious nights in Glasgow. On our last night or host was throwing a house warming party... And me being the plonker that I am... I accidently got him a 24 hour alcohol ban at Tescos (opps!) Also on this night I got absolutely mouth-raped by an Italian... I think it was a good thing we fled early the next morning to EDINBURGH!!!
I fell in love with the city and its history and its EVERYTHING (minus the weather!) I am now half-contemplating moving to there to study, or work..or live.
We lived in a hostel for four nights, a rarity for us as we usually stick to couchsurfing- and spent our days playing ping-pong, making friends with Americans and Aussies, gallivanting around the gorgeous Edinburgh castle and around the city in general. The old town is just adorable and everywhere you turn you can see the castle just rising above the city... Ahhh, i may never leave. (That is a lie, we have a flight booked.)
We ended up couchsurfing for Thursday and Friday night, where we spent our days soaking up the culture of.. um.. Poundland ... Ehh, Moving on...
Today we said a sad farewell to Chris Keville who was returning to his beloved England! We've been traveling with him for the last 30 days, so it'll be weird going back to our traveling duo! Today was also the day Sarah and i THOUGHT we were flying to Germany.... Turns out we totally got the dates wrong and weren't flying out until Monday...So we now have two extra days in Edinburgh, which was totally uncalled for. I think we are a little put out of sorts as we were not preparing to be in Scotland still, ahhhh well. We have gone into hibernation at a cheap hostel on the outskirts of the city and are now palnning for EASTERN EUROPE!!!!
It is exactly ONE WEEK until we meet up with Susie Babe, Case and Sacha (the dear family members who have been trotting around Europe lately) Words cannot describe how excited I am to see the dorky bunch :)
