Wandering Europe!
Here we go now

In May 2011 I set off on a 7 month journey. With nothing but a backpack on my back, my best friend by my side and a return ticket to EUROPE... Needless to say it was by far the most amazing 7 months of my absolute life!!! Somehow I was motivated enough (and stupid enough) to keep a travel blog going through the whole adventure, and so now, with technology being as fabulous as it is, our story is now roughly preserved on this silly blog.

THIRTY SEVEN HOURS IN SLOVAKIA

Slovakia really wasn't on our 'must-see destinations' list at the start of our trip. Actually, it wasn't on any list. It was one of those 'Hell with it, lets go there' kinda places that we've ended up in. ( Like Portugal, Belgium and well, all of Eastern Europe in general.) The only reason I knew of Brataslava was because I'd seen it on the movie Eurotrip- hence why i had to upload the video in the last post!
Our bus trip to Bratislava from Hungary was a humerous two hour trip- the same time it takes me to get to Geelong!
We spent just two short nights in Slovakia and lovedddd the city. It is so small and there's so much beautiful in such a small space. It really was gorgeous. We spent just one full day here, plotting around the old town and the shops, taking photos to prove the city isn't anything like it is in Eurotrip, drinking decadant caramal&chocoalte coffees and a walking tour of the city -and of course half the tour were Australians. (Everywhere they are, just...everywhere)

Here we were staying with a lovely girl and on our first night we had a great convivial time, drinking tea, chatting and eating chocolate. And on our second night she took us to a live concert at an Irish pub. And although the singer looked and sounded a bit like a goat, Sarah and I both got totally lost in the music- we are such daydreamers.

Early this morning, when our thrity seven hours in Slovakia ended, we boarded a 7 hour train journey to Poland!!!
